Description

I have a special presentation using several guitars that gives kids of all ages an introduction into the history and development of the guitar. Starting with the "gut string" classical guitar and playing a Spanish piece, moving to the basic Acoustic, beginning with the arch-top steel-string, "haunted" guitar and some blues and the standard Acoustic 6-string for a bit of country, bluegrass, folk and blues, then on to the 12-string and demonstrating the unique and wonderful sound the instrument provides. Then a short side-trip to the banjo, just because it is so unique and cool, then back to the electric guitar utilising the amplifier and a few special effects pedals, to round out the show. Finally, I also bring a couple of various sized instruments to allow the audience a chance to hold and strum a bit themselves. Rates vary depending on group size and the desired show length, but generally start at $100. Music lesson sign-up is also available.
