Cook (Culinary) – Part Time WEEKENDS
Produces all hot and cold food items for use in the restaurant for breakfast, ensuring that all are prepared according to the Company standards and specifications. Prepares meals to order for individual guests as well as items for the extended breakfast buffet. Assists the attendants in maintaining the buffet stations. Maintains a high level of sanitation and safety throughout the cooking and buffet areas. Must be able to follow recipes and compute basic mathematical calculations to determine quantities needed. Previous a la carte or short order cooking experience in a restaurant or hotel setting required; experience in cooking breakfast and knowledge of breakfast menus and cooking techniques also required. Culinary school/banquet experience a plus. Must be able to work independently and take ownership of food production including prep work, cooking, and ordering food and supplies. Position requires the availability to work a flexible part time schedule with rotating AM shifts and days including weekends and holidays as business demands. Normal shifts will be 5:30am-1:00pm Saturday and Sunday, but must be flexible to work other shifts as needed. $8.75-9.00 per hour. Current culinary students with open weekends are encouraged to apply. Must have great hospitality skills because the position requires heavy guest interactions.
